CannaLedger is a personal research dashboard. Everything on this site is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this site is an offer to buy or sell any security, a recommendation, investment advice, a solicitation, or a substitute for advice from a licensed investment professional. If you act on anything you read here, you do so at your own risk and are solely responsible for the outcome.
Material conflict of interest — read carefully
The operator of this site is employed by Cannara Biotech Inc. (TSXV: LOVE / OTCQX: LOVFF), one of the issuers tracked on the dashboard. Because of that, every interpretive surface for Cannara on this site is hard-blocked: no rating, no narrative, no “WHY?”, no AI observation, no “Two Grams” commentary. Only raw publicly reported numbers and links to SEDAR+ are shown for Cannara.
More importantly: nothing the operator may have learned through employment, industry connections, supplier relationships, partner conversations, customer relationships, or any other private channel is used, referenced, hinted at, signalled, or implied anywhere on this site — for Cannara or for any other issuer. All commentary on this site is built exclusively from publicly filed information. Personal commentary, where it appears, is confined to the operator's separate “Two Grams” channel and is strictly industry-level (policy, regulation, sector trends) — never company-specific. See section 7 for the full insider/tipping disclosure and the Quebec / Canadian regulatory framework the operator commits to.
Numbers may be wrong — do your own research
The financial data on this site is generally well kept — it's aggregated from third-party sources (Yahoo Finance / yfinance, SEDAR+, EDGAR), passed through automated validation checks, and refreshed on a cache. That said, it can absolutely be wrong: upstream feeds restate numbers, miss filings, lag by hours or days, or report in the wrong currency. Before acting on any number you see here, verify it yourself against the issuer's original SEDAR+ / EDGAR filing. Do your own research. See section 2 for the full data-accuracy disclosure.
1Not investment advice
The operator of CannaLedger is not a registered investment adviser, dealer, portfolio manager, broker, analyst, or fiduciary in any jurisdiction. No content on this site constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or avoid any security, derivative, fund, or other financial instrument. Nothing here is tailored to your financial situation, objectives, risk tolerance, or tax position.
Always consult a licensed professional before making any investment decision. Securities regulators in your jurisdiction (e.g. the Canadian Securities Administrators, Autorité des marchés financiers, or the Ontario Securities Commission) maintain public registers you can use to verify any advisor's credentials.
2Data sources and accuracy
Financial statements, prices, earnings dates, and other quantitative data on this site are aggregated from third-party sources, including but not limited to Yahoo Finance (via the yfinance Python library), SEDAR+, the SEC EDGAR system, and each issuer's own investor-relations pages. Press-release commentary is extracted verbatim from publicly filed disclosures.
These sources may be delayed, cached, rate-limited, temporarily unavailable, incorrect, restated, or otherwise inaccurate at any point in time. Currency conversion uses the spot USD/CAD rate cached for up to one hour. CannaLedger performs automated validation checks (balance-sheet equation, inventory reconciliation, revenue–COGS–gross profit identity, outlier detection) but cannot and does not guarantee the correctness, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose of any data shown. Before acting on any number, verify it against the issuer's audited or unaudited filings on SEDAR+ or EDGAR.
3No warranty
This site and all of its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including without limitation any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted access.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of CannaLedger disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of this site, including without limitation any investment loss, lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or trading costs, whether in contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if the operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
4Cannabis sector risk
The Canadian cannabis sector is subject to substantial regulatory, legal, financial, operational, and reputational risks. Issuers covered on this site are or may be subject to:
- federal, provincial, and territorial licensing and marketing restrictions under the Cannabis Act and its regulations;
- going-concern doubts, recurring net losses, dilutive equity issuances, covenant breaches, and liquidity events;
- IFRS fair-value-of-biological-assets accounting treatments that can materially distort gross margin and cost of goods sold quarter-over-quarter;
- cross-border banking, listing, and capital-markets complications for issuers with U.S. operations;
- pricing pressure, excise-tax burdens, grey-market competition, and provincial wholesaler concentration;
- restatements of previously reported results.
Smaller-capitalization cannabis issuers are particularly volatile, illiquid, and exposed to total-loss scenarios. Past performance, sector trends, or peer comparisons shown on this site are not indicative of future results.
5Forward-looking statements
Some quotations and press-release excerpts displayed on this site contain forward-looking statements made by issuers. Those statements reflect management's expectations at the time of disclosure and are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially. CannaLedger does not independently verify, update, or vouch for any forward-looking statement.
6No affiliation
CannaLedger is an independent research project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way associated with Yahoo Inc., SEDAR+, the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO), the Ontario Securities Commission, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, or any of the issuers covered. All company names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification only. Any editorial commentary reflects the operator's interpretation of public information and does not represent the views of any covered issuer.
7Operator conflicts of interest, MNPI policy, and Two Grams scope
7.1 — Employment disclosure
The operator of this site is currently employed by Cannara Biotech Inc. (TSXV: LOVE / OTCQX: LOVFF) in an operations capacity, and Cannara is one of the issuers tracked on the dashboard. This is a material, ongoing conflict of interest. The operator may also have other industry relationships — supplier conversations, partner discussions, conference contacts, peer-company colleagues — that could, in principle, give incidental access to information not yet public about other issuers covered on this site. Assume a conflict of interest, and the possibility of incidental access to non-public information, exist on every page.
7.2 — Material non-public information policy (no use, no tipping, no signalling)
The operator commits, as a matter of personal and professional policy, to the following with respect to material non-public information (“MNPI” — in Quebec law, information privilégiée) about any issuer covered on this site, including but not limited to Cannara Biotech:
- No use: the operator will not use, reference, draw upon, paraphrase, summarize, allude to, or in any other way incorporate MNPI into any number, chart, narrative, rating, ranking, score, observation, commentary, post, video, audio segment, social-media reaction, private message, or any other output published on or linked from this site.
- No tipping: the operator will not disclose MNPI — in any form, for any reason — to any other person, whether expressly, indirectly, by implication, by selective omission, by curated emphasis, or by any other signalling mechanism. Specifically, the operator will not “hint” at MNPI by upgrading or downgrading a company's presentation on this site, by adjusting the order of a list, by featuring or demoting a ticker, by timing a publication, or by any analogous indirect signal.
- No recommendation: the operator will not recommend that any person buy, sell, hold, short, hedge, or otherwise transact in any security covered on this site — with or without reference to MNPI.
- No personal trading on MNPI: the operator will not trade, and will not cause any related person to trade, in any security on the basis of MNPI, and will at all times comply with Cannara Biotech's blackout periods and insider-trading policy as well as any applicable issuer-level policies that apply to the operator.
All numbers, observations, and editorial content on this site are derived exclusively from publicly available sources (SEDAR+, SEC EDGAR, press-release wires, issuer investor-relations pages, Yahoo Finance, and other public market data). If the operator becomes aware of MNPI about any covered issuer through employment or otherwise, that information stays out of the site entirely — it is neither displayed, hinted at, nor used to adjust how that issuer is presented relative to peers.
7.3 — Cannara Biotech: hard interpretive block
For Cannara Biotech specifically, this site goes further than the general policy in 7.2. Every interpretive surface — the Fundamentals Trajectory score and “WHY?” chip, the company-detail narrative, the Cross-Statement Story panel, the Report analysis page, the composite health score, the Rankings tier assignment, the Compare-page commentary, the Ask AI chatbot, and any future interpretive component — is hard-coded to refuse, blank out, or replace its output with an “Insider-restricted” notice when the ticker is LOVE.TO (or its US equivalent LOVFF). For Cannara, only raw publicly filed numbers, prices, and links to SEDAR+ are shown. If you notice anywhere on the site that Cannara is missing a comment, score, rating, or explanation that every other company has, that is intentional and deliberate, not an oversight or a bug.
7.4 — “Two Grams”: scope of the operator's personal commentary
The operator publishes a separate personal commentary product referred to here as “Two Grams”. Two Grams is editorially distinct from CannaLedger and is the only channel on which the operator offers personal opinion. Its scope is intentionally narrow:
- Two Grams discusses industry-level developments only — cannabis policy, federal and provincial regulation, excise-tax structure, retail and wholesale distribution dynamics, consumption trends, format trends (flower / pre-roll / vape / edibles / beverage), supply-and-demand at a sector level, market-structure shifts, and where the operator believes the industry as a whole is headed.
- Two Grams does not issue company-specific opinions, calls, ratings, “watch lists”, price targets, or transactional recommendations on Cannara Biotech or on any other issuer covered on CannaLedger.
- Two Grams will not “signal” an opinion on any issuer through framing, omission, juxtaposition, timing, or selective coverage. If a topic touches a covered issuer specifically, the operator will either (a) keep the discussion at the public-record level only, or (b) decline to cover it in Two Grams entirely.
- Two Grams does not contain or reference MNPI about Cannara Biotech or any other issuer. The MNPI policy in 7.2 applies to Two Grams in full.
This scoping is the hard line. If a piece of Two Grams content appears to read like a company-specific call, that reading is not intended — the publication is industry-level commentary, not an investment view, not a recommendation, and not a signal.
7.5 — Quebec and Canadian regulatory framework
The operator is resident in Quebec and is committed to compliance with the applicable Canadian and Quebec securities-law framework governing the use and communication of privileged information, including without limitation:
- the Quebec Securities Act (Loi sur les valeurs mobilières, RLRQ c. V-1.1), in particular its prohibitions on the use of privileged information by persons in a special relationship with an issuer and on the communication of privileged information (“tipping”) other than in the necessary course of business;
- the rules and policy guidance of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Quebec securities regulator, including AMF guidance on continuous disclosure, selective disclosure, and insider communications;
- Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) National Policy 51-201 — Disclosure Standards — particularly Part V on tipping, recommending, and selective disclosure, and Part III on identifying material information;
- National Instrument 55-104 — Insider Reporting Requirements and Exemptions;
- the analogous insider-trading and tipping prohibitions in section 76 of the Securities Act (Ontario), which cover Cannara's TSXV listing and which are mirrored across the CSA jurisdictions; and
- TSX Venture Exchange Corporate Finance Manual policies on disclosure, insider trading, and blackout periods, and any related issuer-level insider-trading policy applicable to the operator.
The above is a summary of the framework the operator commits to comply with; it is not legal advice and does not waive or limit any other applicable law.
7.6 — Personal positions and other relationships
The operator may from time to time hold, trade, or have held positions — long or short, directly or indirectly, personally or through family members — in any of the securities discussed on this site, subject in every case to the policies and blackout periods referenced above. The operator may also have other relationships (contractor, advisor, personal, or otherwise) with issuers beyond the employment relationship disclosed in 7.1. These relationships do not change anything in sections 7.2 through 7.5: MNPI stays out of the site, no tipping, no signalling, no company-specific personal opinion outside of the public record.
Bottom line: assume a conflict of interest exists on every page; assume the operator may incidentally have access to non-public information about issuers in this sector; and assume none of that information is being used, referenced, or signalled anywhere on this site or in Two Grams. If you ever believe you have spotted a piece of content that crosses any of these lines, contact contact@cannaledger.ca and it will be reviewed and corrected.
